A Dose of Leopard and Evergreen

Last fall, I made a couple of cocoon cardigans using this tutorial from True Bias. This evergreen one ended up being one of my favorite layering pieces. I love how boho and effortless it looks thrown over a tank and leggings. This comfy, casual outfit has been a staple during my senior year.

I still have a few more outfits from my fall capsule wardrobe to share, but I’ll be posting about my winter capsule wardrobe soon.

A Dose of Denim

Can you believe this is only the second denim on denim outfit I’ve ever worn? The first one didn’t even make it onto the blog. For some reason this trend has always either intimidated me or just not felt like me. My fall capsule wardrobe is changing that. I’m embracing the ease of mix and match separates – and that includes this chambray shirt with dark wash skinny jeans. This relaxed look of an unbuttoned chambray shirt, cozy scarf, skinny jeans and boots is winning me over.

What do you think? What’s your favorite way to wear denim on denim?

A Dose of Fall Comfort

Some Mondays just call for comfort and today was definitely one of them. Despite the change in daylight savings time, I still had a terrible time getting out of bed this morning. That coupled with a stressful day ahead and it was all I could do to reach for a cozy sweater, leggings and boots and drag myself to Starbucks for my first holiday drink of the season.

Ease and comfort are exactly why I decided to experiment with a fall capsule wardrobe. A closet full of easy favorites makes getting dressed each day a breeze.
