I honestly don’t know where time has gone lately. I swear December just started and now it’s almost Christmas. These last few weeks have just been a blur of finals, work, and some much needed family time. I just know this winter break is going to go by in the blink of an eye (it’s already a third over) and I’m not going to be nearly as productive as I hoped on. That’s how it always seems to go – I make a long to-do list thinking I’ll have all the time in the world to get things done and then before I know it, I’m back at school again. I’m just trying to remember to appreciate all the little moments and take advantage of the time I do have. Hopefully that will mean getting a few more posts up on this blog!
I’ve said it before, but I’m really into replacing my usual cardigan with a denim or leather jacket lately so I’m sure you’ll be seeing a lot more of this jean jacket this winter. I just love the pop of blue on an otherwise dreary day. Also, I dug this skirt out of a pile of clothing that I was considering donating. Even though it’s a tad bit short for me, I’m glad I rescued it because the pattern is so fun!
Friday morning, I woke up to about four inches of snow, which in northwest Oregon is always some kind of Christmas miracle. What’s even more amazing is how long this snow has stuck around! Every morning, I wake up expecting it to be gone, but five days later it’s still there. Now I’m starting to worry about how I’m going to get home for winter break! But snow is such a rare treat that it’s definitely worth it. Even though I’ve been stuck inside writing papers and studying for finals, it’s so pretty to look at and makes every little trek onto campus a little more exciting.
Of course, what kind of fashion blogger would I be if I didn’t take outfit photos in the snow? Sunday morning I slipped and slid my way to the grocery store to get whipped cream for my hot chocolate and notecards for studying and took a few photos. It’s actually been fun to have an excuse to break out all my winter accessories – it’s been hats and scarves and gloves galore around here! However, I definitely realized this week that I really don’t know how to dress (or walk) in the snow. As much as I wish it snowed more often here, I don’t know how I would keep this little fashion blog running if it did!

My holiday wishlist is pretty simple this year, with just a handful of things I really need/want. I’m hoping for an iPad mini from my parents, which would be so helpful for school and blogging! Here’s a look at the rest of my wishlist:
Hard case for my Macbook Pro. My Macbook gets a ton of use and goes with me almost everywhere! I’ve started to notice a couple dings on it so I’d love to get a protective hard case for it. I especially love these see-thru cases in pool and raspberry.
Floral key decals. I absolutely love these pretty little keyboard decals. It would be so fun to get these for Christmas to jazz up my keyboard since I spend so much time working on the computer.
Jot Script stylus. This stylus would be the perfect companion for taking an iPad to class! It works with Evernote’s note-taking system, which I already use and love, so I would not only have access to all my notes on all of my iOS devices, but I’d also be able to easily search through them.
Keyboard cover for iPad mini. This cool little device is a cover, a keyboard, and a stand for the iPad mini, all in one! This would be so convenient to have for class, homework, and blogging!
iPhone cover. My phone is due for an upgraded cover and I love this pretty rose-print, hard-sided one from Rifle Paper Co.
Floral backpack. I have a backpack almost identical to this one (it’s from the Olsenboye line at JCPenney) but after two years of use, it desperately needs to be replaced. I’m so glad they still make one similar to mine, because I love it!
