I want to apologize in advance for how picture-heavy this post is, but I just loved how these pictures and this outfit turned out! This heart print dress is, of course, perfect for Valentine’s Day. Since I wore it for Valentine’s Day last year also, I wanted to find a new way to style it and layering seemed to be the most natural option. At first, I thought pairing this scarf with the dress might be a little overkill but I actually love how it looks! Also, I always feel extra chic and glamorous when I’m wearing a pair of heels (even if Eric hates it). This is pretty much my favorite Valentine’s Day outfit ever!
See that watch right there? That was my birthday present from Eric! I may have majorly hinted that I wanted it and included it in my birthday wishlist, but I am super excited about styling up all my different watchbands with my outfits now!
This is another Valentine’s Day inspired outfit that is casual and definitely not over the top. I really love the red and taupe color combination. I’m so glad I figured out that this top goes perfectly with this skirt. I think they look super cute together! Also, this skirt is slowly but surely growing on me. When I bought it, I knew I would have to add some lace trim to the hem because it’s a little short on me, but when I did, I thought it made the skirt a little frumpy looking. I’ve been wearing it anyway though and I think I’m starting to fall in love with this skirt all over again.
I’m heading home to Portland this weekend (again!) for Valentine’s Day and a wedding! I’m excited to actually see my boyfriend on Valentine’s Day and spend more time with him and my family. Do you have any fun plans for V-day or the weekend?
I have a confession: I didn’t wear this today. In fact, today I wore sweats, a sweatshirt and the same shirt I slept in (gross, I know) because I was up late last night and early this morning writing a midterm paper. Eric actually took these pictures for me over the weekend just up the hill from my house.
Since Valentine’s Day is this week, I wanted to use this week’s outfit photos to put together a few cute Valentine-inspired outfits. This first one is perfect for a casual Valentine’s Day with family or friends. It’s not overly thematic but is still a little romantic with lace and floral details. I love this dress, which I restyled from a Rodarte for Target dress I found on clearance, and the mix of brown and black in this outfit. Stay tuned for more Valentine’s Day posts this week!
