I really loved this outfit today. For one, I always feel proud when I can manage to wear brown and black together without looking like a total idiot. I also really love this dress and don’t get to wear it enough. The pops of red also just make me really happy. I wouldn’t really say that red is my color but I actually kind of love it in this outfit.
I have been stressing out about a million different things lately and so, like usual when I get too stressed out, I spent the first half of my day running, baking, catching up on blogs and just generally pretending that everything I needed to do didn’t exist. That was great while it lasted, but then reality caught up with me and the second half of my day was spent actually being productive. I’m hoping I’ll be a little more on top of things tomorrow so I can maybe have a slightly less stressful weekend.
Other random, but exciting news: my boyfriend just bought a brand new DSLR camera today so while I’m home for Thanksgiving and Christmas breaks, I’m planning on harassing him to take my outfit pictures with his fancy new camera! I’m pretty stoked about having my own little photographer-boyfriend! 😉
There’s something about a blazer and dress together that I really like, but I have a hard time wearing without feeling too “business casual.” I’m going to have to work on that because I really loved this outfit! I actually wore this over a month ago for a back-to-school scholarship reception, but since I didn’t any pictures, I wanted to style it up again (this time with tights and boots) for class.
This week is so stressful for me, but I’m really looking forward to my parents visiting this weekend and to going home for Thanksgiving! Thanksgiving seriously can’t come fast enough!
This sweater and I have always had a love/hate relationship. I tried it on at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale a few years ago and decided not to buy it. And then I went back for it. Ever since then, it’s been one of those items that I feel like I don’t wear enough and so I’m always debating about donating it. But then I put together an outfit with it and I love it again! I guess I just need to accept that it’s one of those pieces that doesn’t go with everything, but sure is cute when I get it right!
See how else I’ve worn this cardigan (and how I’d like to wear it again!) here and here.
