This outfit was one that really felt “me.” It’s also something that five-year-old me would have really loved. Is that a problem? I hope not, but who can blame me? Sometimes a floral dress and a touch of lace just feels right.
For my May BP Fashion Board meeting, we were asked to rock our favorite spring trends, which proved to be very difficult due to both the very anti-spring weather we were having and the fact that because I was in the middle of my lacrosse season, wrapping up my senior year of high school, and crazy stressed out to finish a very important project, I had no time to pay attention to spring trends. However, I had just picked up these paperbag-waist shorts and knew that the high-waisted shorts trend was something I was excited to try, so I chose to pair them with crochet tights to beat the cold and a ruffled floral tank for an extra springy feel.
I opted to get a little dressed up for church on Easter Sunday, and for me that means heels and jewelry, two things I don’t pull out on a regular basis. Although I liked this outfit, I wish I could have felt a little more spring-ish. It’s almost May and I’m so ready to ditch the tights!
