Sign Me Up

The first time I wore this jacket, my mom asked me if I was joining the military. Despite the costume vibe of a military jacket, I love it! Adding a military jacket always takes a simple outfit up a notch! I paired my jacket with a plaid shirt for a tomboyish look and crisp white shorts to keep it feminine.

As a side note, I am on vacation for the next couple weeks. Comfort is definitely my focus on vacation and I tried to pack lightly so it will be a little interesting to see what I can come up with to wear!

Well, then…

Whew! I’m finally caught up from my not-so-long-break and we’re back live!
You know, for pulling random things out of my closet purely for the sake of getting dress, I though this easy, casual result is not too bad. Although I did feel a bit like a awkward, little girl running around today. I think the chilly weather is getting to me! My outfit was a whole mash-up of things that kind of work together: a little bit preppy, sort of beachy, and a touch of punkiness!

Psychedelic Prairie

After discovering that my first option would not work out due to extremely short hemlines, this is what I ultimately wore to the birthday celebration. The combination of the very bohemian print of the top and chambray skirt made me feel a little like a gypsy once again. I upped the boho vibe with my wood/gold earrings and vintage bangle. Overall, it was a decent outfit that held up well against a very filling homemade Italian dinner and some jumping on a trampoline!

As a side note, when I bought this skirt, I thought it was great because it seemed so versatile, but in reality, the brown buttons make it very hard to pair with the majority of my wardrobe! I have a plan for it, so stay tuned…
