“Earthy Hipster”

The calendar says its officially summer and the weather actually agrees, at least for now! This was the first time I’ve seen blue sky in a while and I was extremely happy. However, I was at home for most of the day and then went running with the cross country team so I really only got dressed up to go to the grocery store, but I guess that’s okay.
I had actually been holding out on the Lucky outfits that included this bright pink skirt, because I planned to make my own to wear with them, but I’m starting to run out of time and outfits, so I had to substitute this floral skirt. I think it worked out pretty well – I might like my version of the outfit better with the patterned skirt than I would have if I had worn it the way I originally intended to. The pattern makes it more interesting and helps to tie the yellow tee and gray jacket together. And of course, I had to take a picture to show off and debut my lovely little pink Coach bag!

“Refined Feminine”

I’ve had conflicting feelings about this outfit all day. I liked the zebra patterned tee contrasted with my striped skirt and cinched with a skinny black belt, but I still feel slightly frumpy in this skirt. I also really liked the color that the jacket added, but I wasn’t sure if the shape worked with the rest of the outfit. This morning, I was sort of wishing I had worn my hair down to balance out the puffy sleeves, but there just wasn’t enough time to style my hair. However, looking back at the pictures and comparing them to the ones from yesterday, I think I look cleaner and fresher with my hair pulled back. You see all the conflicts? What do you think about this outfit?

“Business Fresh”

Only 10 days left in my Lucky style challenge! And I’m wearing this dress again! I guess that’s because its very versatile and has such a great pattern. I kept it pretty simple with the blazer, but changed up the look a little bit by draping my scarf instead of just letting it hang down. The resulting look is pretty, polished, and, yes, a little businessy. I was planning on going places and doing things today, but I ended up staying home to clean up and I’ll spend this evening celebrating Father’s Day with my family. Happy Father’s Day!
