After rediscovering this tee in my closet, I knew I wanted to wear it with my new skirt. This skirt is super versatile and I love it! However, as for the rest of the outfit, it’s kind of a random mash-up of different pieces that somehow worked out together.
I had a crazy busy day last week going from school to lacrosse practice to a Norah Jones concert (yay!). This meant that I needed to look good without putting much thought into my outfits. So to school, I wore an outfit that I had actually worn a few months ago, but still worked (and you would never had known if I hadn’t told you!). Then for the concert, I kept the same basic combination of pieces, switching out the applique tee for a basic white tee, the denim skirt for a floral skirt and the boots for an elegant pair of purple satin flats.
The last look of my berry and black week is pretty casual and easy: a little black dress over leggings. A hot pink cardigan and flats with a floral print scarf made it a little more fun. Throughout the week, I mixed and matched a few key pieces to create different looks each day. Well, fourteen pieces to be exact (counting shoes and my umbrella!) for five days’ outfits and I could probably mix them up even more! It forced me to think outside of the usual ruts that I get stuck in and I even rediscovered some of my own clothes! This week, I wore:
Long, open front pink cardigan (from Nordstrom’s Rack)
Cropped, hot pink cardigan (from Nordstrom)
Grey boyfriend cardigan (from Macy’s)
White blouse (from Love Culture)
Pink plaid blouse (from F21)
Pink rosette tank (from Nordstrom)
Pink and black tie-dye dress (Zac Posen for Target)
Black dress (from Love Culture)
Dark skinnies (from Express)
Black leggings (from Nordstrom’s Rack)
Black and pink floral print scarf (from Nordstrom)
