I am so jealous of everyone who is enjoying warm sunny weather as it was so wet and cold today that I couldn’t even bring myself to venture outside long enough to snap a few pictures of my outfit. Instead, I’m posting about an outfit that I wore a week or so ago (from before I got my hair cut). This was a super comfy outfit, but what I loved about it most were the calm yet pretty colors in the tank that were complimented by my cardigan and skirt. I also love the embellishment on the tank since there’s no need for a necklace! Accessories have always been a weak point for me because I either forget to put them on or don’t know what to wear. I have a few trusty items that I can wear with almost anything, but I would love to learn how to work statement jewelry.
This was a bit of a fun outfit that I threw together to submit to WhatIWore’s “Sweet and Rough” challenge. It’s different from what I normally wear, as I’m not much of a “rough” girl, but I actually really like it. I started with this top with the zipper detail (which is probably the edgiest piece I own) added the floral skirt with a pattern that works as both girly and tough. The Converse definitely add a dose of punk to finish off the outfit. I’m thinking maybe I should try this whole “rough” thing a little bit more!
This black ensemble is not particularly spring-like, but was appropriate for our very unspring-like weather. When I first saw a similar outfit on StyleCaster, I was intrigued by the long cardigan all buttoned up with just a hint of a dress peeking out the bottom. Unfortunately, I’m a little disorganized and couldn’t find the picture on StyleCaster that inspired this outfit, so instead, I’m going to show you some otheroutfitsonStyleCaster that I love.
